Take Me Gently Across The Water

Take Me Gently Across The Water

The title is the name of the music by a musician called Gandalf. The  (painted) timber background shows through as music is invisible… "transparent", though still powerful, so I like to achieve the impression of the ethereal quality of music in this way. Particular sounds in the piece of music (metallic, crescendo, smooth flowing, full orchestral, piano notes etc) are represented in a graphic way but blended and joined to create a harmonious composition, in the same way the composer of the music merges different parts of the music piece... to create harmony.
