This painting came to my mind in a literal flash! Many years ago, I walked into the burned-out ruin of an observatory on Mount Stromlo after horrendous fires, and immediately, this image appeared in my mind. The idea of looking out through that tiny lens in the telescope from such a finite space but seeing into infinity was overwhelmingly amazing. The stand on the left is all that remained and what the telescope once was supported on. Note the new observatory outside on the other hillside. The "smoke and flames" are memories only.
Giclee printed on Bauhaus Matte 230gsm paper, using archival inks. Other speciality paper is available to print on, please get in touch with Diane to enquire.
